Valiant and Shenseea Version of ‘Hit and Run’ Shelved? – Listen Audio
The different version of Shenseea’s Hit and Run song that surfaced online, featuring Dancehall artiste Valiant instead of Masicka, is said to be the original song. The leaked song was initially reported to be an AI simulation of Valiant singing with Shenseea.
However, it is alleged that Shenseea initially collaborated with Valiant, but the track was not released due to his clash with Teejay.
Information about the song being shelved was shared during the latest episode of the Let’s Be Honest podcast, in which host Jaii Frais shared the details he received with his co-host, Walk and Talk. Jaii Frais is known to be friends with Valiant and is closely associated with Romeich Major, Shenseea’s former manager, with whom she still does business.
“Valiant and Shenseea have a version of Hit and Run…The first Hit and Run mi hear is Shenseea by herself, without Masicka. Then after the song drop, a likkle birdie a tell mi seh, there is a Valiant version to the song, and the reason why Valiant was taken off the song is because at the time the public did really a seh Teejay,” Jaii Frais said.
He continued, “Dem a seh dem tek off Valiant because Valiant neva have di people dem again and now dem bring on Masicka… But the Valiant and Shenseea song sound really good.”
He also suggested that producer Di Genius, who produced the track, release Valiant’s version since a part of it has been leaked. The leaked track was shared by Quest Time on Instagram three days ago. The song begins with melodies from Shenseea and Valiant before Shenseea starts deejaying.
Her verse is shorter than the official track, as Valiant interjects by deejaying about not wanting to see her and not believing a word she says.
