A major collaboration with dancehall artistes Vybz Kartel, Popcaan, and Chronic Law is in the works, with the Jamaican deejays collaborating with American rapper Fivio Foreign for a reported soon-to-be-released track.
Rumours first arose in July that Popcaan and Fivio Foreign would be collaborating after the New York rapper’s visit to Jamaica. Popcaan shared a video of him and the artiste partying on the island during his birthday celebrations, with the men seemingly shooting a music video at multiple locations, such as the AC Marriot Hotel in Kingston.

Fivio Foreign was also spotted sporting the Firm and Strong deejay’s beloved 876 Gud diamond-studded chain during the apparent video shoot and later shared what appeared to be Popcaan’s verse on their single.

According to Mckennon, the track is expected to be released very soon.

This will be Kartel and Popcaan’s second collaboration this year, following the release of their song Dull Colour last month. Dull Colour marked the end of a dry spell between the artistes who had previously worked together on hits such as Clarks.

The upcoming project will see Popcaan collaborate with Chronic Law for the third time in 2023. Popcaan and the Corrupt deejay first partnered on his fifth studio album, Great Is He, which was released in January. Chronic Law was featured on the single St. Thomas Native and would later appear on Imeru Tafari’s Vibrations alongside Popcaan.
