Wanted Jamaican Man Gets Arrested At Airport Trying To Board Flight

Brandon Swaby, a 20-year-old Jamaican man who was wanted in connection with a fatal shooting in Nashville was arrested at the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport on April 10.

According to the Nashville police, Swaby was attempting to board a flight back to Jamaica when U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents arrested him. Based on reports from investigators, the fatal shooting resulted from a car deal gone bad on Facebook Marketplace.

Caught in the crossfire was 22-year-old Christopher Brandon McCabe who was shot and killed on Donelson Pike, near the Nashville airport entrance, USA.

An arrest warrant was subsequently issued by Homicide Unit detectives for the arrest of the Jamaican national.

Swaby is currently in custody at the Broward County jail in Florida and will be transferred to Nashville, Tennessee.
