CCTV footage captured the moment a vehicle traveling on Flat Bridge on February 15 plunged into the Rio Cobre at approximately 4:54 p.m.
Reports indicate that the driver lost control of the vehicle. A person sitting on the edge of the bridge, who was nearly struck by the vehicle, is seen diving into the water as the vehicle plunged in.
Another individual on the other end of the river also jumped into the water and numerous passersby and motorists stopped to look into the river.
Law enforcement officers were on the scene shortly after.
According to the CCTV footage, people remained on the bridge, observing the water for about two hours after the incident.
It remains unclear whether anyone was injured.
