WATCH: Shifta Drops “Sex You Up” Music Video
Florida-based dancehall artiste Shifta released a sultry song for the ladies ahead of his album. The steamy track, entitled Sex You Up, is housed on his forthcoming album, which features collaborations with Konshens, Jah Cure, Cecile, and international rapper Too Short.
In Sex You Up, which samples Color Me Badd’s single I Wanna Sex You Up, Shifta professes his desires for a stunning woman who fascinates him. The singer gets straight to the point in the beginning, letting the woman know that he wants her body while adding, “Sex appeal and class you got it.”
The video begins with a close-up shot of a woman’s butt as she approaches a bed in lingerie. Both Shifta and the female sprawl on the same bed shortly after, and the scene creates a jungle vibe with plants flanking the bed.
The other scenes show another girl modeling in a room with walls resembling aluminum foil and a similar gold room where a woman lounges in a bathtub. The Closer singer is later shown in an office being seduced by a woman and dancing with another woman when the scene changes. The women are also seen dancing together in various clips as the video shifts from one set to another.

The music video, released on December 15, 2022, on YouTube, has since garnered over 137,563 views with 21,000 likes. The song was described as “Dope,” “Fire,” and “Legendary” by viewers streaming the music video on the platform. Viewers also referred to Shifta as “motivation” and encouraged him to, “Keep doing it big.”
