WATCH: Vybz Kartel and Skillibeng Drop “The King & The Prince” Music Video

The highly anticipated collab between dancehall artistes Skillibeng and Vybz Kartel has finally been released on all streaming platforms. The gangster song, entitled The King & The Prince, declares that both deejays are the rulers of the dancehall genre.

The music video, released on YouTube some hours ago, begins with various scenes flashing across the screen, showing multiple Gaza fans in a community, Skillibeng walking, parked bikes, excited children, and a painting of Vybz Kartel on a wall.

In The King & The Prince, produced by Adidjahiem Records and distributed by Johnny Wonder, Vybz Kartel kicks off the raunchy track with lyrics about women and sex before moving on to his style and expensive jewellery. He can be heard saying, “Addi a di king, a wah do him poor ting, any odda king a mus drinking and smoking.”

Following Vybz Kartel’s verse and the chorus, Skillibeng begins with a statement about being the prince, saying, “Skilli a di prince, mi lyrically fit. Ask Worl Boss, him will tel yuh caz him a di king.” He continues to sing about his flow, his music being influential across the globe and notes that Kartel is inspirational. 

The music video, created by RD Studios JA, has since amassed over 14K views and 3.7K likes. The comments, filled with praise, consisted of one person saying, “No prison can hold back vybz kartel any collaboration with the teacha is a bomb đź‘Ś,” and another writing, “The king never misses ..hits daily …free the don now …Gaza forever .”
