Dujuan ‘Whisper’ Richards,18, made his much-anticipated debut for the Chelsea Under 18 team in a tough match against Crystal Palace.
Richards reacted to the moment he has been waiting for since signing for the Blues late last year, which is playing football for the club. Despite his debut not being with the senior team, Whisper seemed pleased with the feat of representing the youth team in FA Cup action.
Jimmy-Jay Morgan and Tyrique George’s goals beat Crystal Palace as they move on to the next stage, where they will battle Millwall in the FA Youth Cup.
This update on the young Jamaican winger comes amidst much talks and speculations locally of his future at the English club, which is famous for being one of the clubs that have the most players on loan in recent years.
Most of the speculations suggest Whisper will be heading out on loan, but since the closure of the January transfer window and this latest news, Whisper will get a chance to try and break into the senior team for at least the rest of this season.
Whisper took to his Instagram handle to update his fans with a post which featured two pictures captioned, “The long wait has come to an end, Happy to make my debut for the blues.”
