10yo Boy Gone Missing

According to reports, 10-year-old Romaine Hunter has gone missing from home after being suspected to have run away from home, one person stated that this is at least the seventh time the young boy has run away from home. The Spanish town police stated that Romaine was last seen at the Hellshire Beach around 2:30 p.m. Dressed in a black merino and black shorts.

Romains Grand Mother told the Star that “I just want him to come home. He is usually like this whenever he does something wrong. Him usually go Hellshire because him have friends over there, but him frequent other places like Half-Way Tree and downtown (Kingston),” Harris said.

Romain’s grandmother also told a Star Reporter that the young boy ran away from home twice however a resident had this to say in response “Is not two times him run away. Him run way more than seven times. Mi naah guh tell no lie, him get food and clothes. But them pressure him a lot, and beat him, so mi feel like a that’s why him always a leave. Mi hope the authorities find him safe and sound and keep him in their care until him a 18”.

Both of Romaaine’s parent were killed years ago, he has been in several homes since including his grandmother’s.

Romain attends the McAuley Primary School and hopes to become a member of the Jamaica defense force in the future.
