130k Missing from NCB Account and Owner Reportedly knows Nothing About it
Ayoka Lawrence was confronted by a shocking reality when she checked her bank balance online last November and saw that it was only $387.16.
Ayoka remembers withdrawing only $20,000.00 from an amount of $150,000.00.
She had the account at the National Commercial Bank and was alarmed to see that her money went missing because she always had her card in her bag and didn’t give her pin number to anyone.
The 39-year-old resides in Norman Gardens and she reported the problem to both the Elletson Road Police Station and the National Commercial Bank.
The bank said they saw where her card was really used between November 12 and 14 in 2019.
However, when the police requested and checked the camera footage from the ATM where the money was taken, they saw that a young male, had withdrawn the money.
Lawrence has been waiting on the bank to complete their investigation, but she is worried about her bills that are piling up and her rent payment that she won’t be able to give her landlord.
When the bank was contacted this Friday the representative for the bank was not prepared to speak about the matter.
