16-Year-Old Stage Kidnapping in New York

A 16-year-old girl who seemed to be kidnapped before her mother, staged the whole incident, sources revealed.

The staged kidnapping happened in the Bronx, it was set up by Karol Sanchez, she revealed that she had set it up after the ordeal was over and she was being reunited with her family on Tuesday.

No charges were filed at the time, but police are now looking for the four men who helped her. The surveillance video showed four men snatching the 16-year-old off a Bronx Street; any parent would be traumatized to watch that.

A blurry video showed the scene in the Melrose section of the Bronx near 775 Eagle Ave. at 11:30 p.m. on Monday.

The video shows four men in a sedan driving up to the mother and daughter, before they grab the girl and push the mother down.

The NYPD (New York Police Department) put out an Amber Alert and got missing posters made so they could flood the area with them.

At 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, the kidnapped girl suddenly returned to the scene and turned herself into police. The stunned people on the street were watching.

“We was at the pole over there, looking at her picture, and we walked up the block, she was crossing the street to the cop car, and I was like ‘Yo, that’s her right there,’” said one bystander.

“She was shaken up. She was bending over, grabbing her knees, and discussing with the police. And that’s when they took her into the parking garage for questioning,” another bystander said.

After Sanchez was taken to the 40th Precinct station house, it was revealed that she admitted that she wanted to run away from her family and decided to stage the kidnapping. The NYPD wants to talk to all involved before deciding who, if anyone, will be charged.
