$2.5 Pledged to St Vincent Relief by NCB Foundation

The NCB Foundation responded to a call for international solidarity with (SVG) St Vincent and the Grenadines. $2.5 million was pledged to the Office of Disaster Preparedness and Emergency Management (ODPEM) as they plan to provide humanitarian assistance through their relief fund.

Nadeen Mathews Blair, Ceo of NCB Foundation spoke about the foundation’s contribution and said she understood how hard it was for the people of St Vincent to contend with the ongoing effects of the volcanic eruptions. The contribution will provide assistance that will save lives and they are looking forward to assisting the fellow Caribbean nation when they are facing the rebuilding journey.

Over 20,000 persons left the island after the La Soufriere Volcano erupted and the eruptions are still going on. The shelters where many displaced persons are staying are now in need of water, power and other supplies.

The Private Sector Organization (PSOJ) saluted (NCB) the National Commercial Bank and its members for their philanthropic culture, as they have been consistently helping the vulnerable.

Donations can be made to St Vincent and the Grenadines Relief Fund either online or at the NCB ABM machines using this account number 212-387-304. These donations will go a far way in helping the persons who are affected by the ongoing Volcanic eruptions in St Vincent.
