2 Police Charged For Attempted Robbery in Kingston

Two members of the Jamaica Constabulary Force were arrested and charged after they along with other men tried to rob a bar located on Windward Road in Kingston.

As reported by the Elletson Road police, the cops conspired with several other men to rob the bar.

On Wednesday, December 29, the men were in the act of cutting the main padlock to the premises when they were pounced upon by law enforcers. The men tried to escape, however, four of them were held while trying to do so.

Daenard Meikle who is a 35-year-old police constable from the Banbury District in Clarendon along with Christoph Campbell age 27 who is a constable from Fernando Road, Bridgeport in St. Catherine were arrested and charged for illegal possession of firearm and ammunition, breach of the Disaster Risk Management Act, attempted shop breaking and conspiracy to shop breaking.

The other two men caught are Odarie Frazer who is a 22-year-old vendor that works on Orange Street in Downtown Kingston and Rushawn Alvaranga a 20-year-old vendor who also works on Orange Street, both men were slapped with the same charges as the cops.

Another male known as ‘Finger’ who was involved in the incident managed to escape via a Nissan Ad wagon that was parked nearby.
