20yo GIRL shot in the Head by her 21yo Ex-Boyfriend in Road Rage

According to Harris County Sherriff’s office, on Sunday the victim which is named Julie De La Garza, was traveling with her current boyfriend in a truck along the Northwest Freeway located in the city of Cypress, Houston, Texas, United States. 

According to the investigations, the couple was driving to an HCA Houston ER clinic which was only 5 minutes away from where the fatal incident happened. 

Her ex-boyfriend, named Mann Austin Hayes started following his ex-girlfriend Julie and then adequately started shooting in the back mirror of the truck to kill his girlfriend. 

Unfortunately, Julie got shot in the back of her head, she was brought to the Memorial Hermann hospital where she was pronounced dead. 

On Monday, the family confirmed to ABC13 that Julie was dead. According to the reports, her sister doesn’t want to reveal her name to the media, she said; “she wants justice for her sister and she wants Hayes to come forward” so the investigations could get started and her sister may get justice. 

According to Sherriff, Hayes’s white color Toyota was found in a parking lot which is near Skinner Road.

When the court records were revealed, it was found that Mann Austin Hayes was earlier charged with aggravated assault. As per documents, the court adjudicated him and granted him three years of community supervision but now after Julie’s murder, the deputies state that Mann will be charged for her death. 

The police are requesting that anyone who knows the whereabouts of Hayes to come forward and contact the HCSO homicide or contact the crime stoppers of Houston.
