£25 Million Offer For ‘Leon Bailey’ Rejected By Bayer Leverkusen
Manager Dean Smith, from Aston Villa, is looking to make several adjustments to his side, and in doing so he had his eyes set on winger and Jamaican National player, Leon Bailey who currently plays for Bayer Leverkusen.
In his bid for the superb 23-year-old footballer, £25 million was offered to him however, that amount was declined, so it seems Villa will need to resurface with a more convincing deal.
At this point, a lot of eyes are set on Bailey due to his star quality performances in last season’s Bundesliga, as he managed out of 40 appearances to score 15 goals with 11 assists.
This has made the young Jamaican a target for English league teams who are looking to spice up their team, and rumours have it that even Everton has been showing interest in the talented winger.
Dean Smith does mean business for his squad where boosting the team’s attacking is concerned, as he recently signed Emiliano Buendia who played for Norwich City.
Aston Villa did not stop there as they even tried to get Emile Smith-Rowe from the Arsenal squad however he already renewed his deal with his team, otherwise, he was in luck with his former player, Ashley Young who he got back on a free transfer.
Will Aston Villa raise the stakes on Leon Bailey, to impress Leverkusen? For that, we will need to wait and see what happens.
Leon Bailey did not play last night as Jamaica lost 0-1 to USA who progressed to the semi0finals of the Gold Cup. There have been rumours about the winger being injured hence he did not feature for the Reggae Boyz.
