A 26-year-old male Kingston resident was arrested and hit with several charges for assaulting and robbing a woman he was intimately seeing. Bebeto ‘Bimba’ McFarlene of Charles Street was arrested following a report a female made to the police about the incident that unfolded from an argument.
According to the Jamaica Star, the police reported that McFarlene was in an argument with the woman. During the dispute, he used a handgun to hit her in the head and subsequently robbed her of $10,000 before he quickly left the scene.
After being arrested, McFarlene was interviewed in the presence of his attorney. He was later charged with assault at common law, robbery with aggravation, illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition, and unlawful wounding. His court date has not yet been decided.
