3 Guns And Loads Of Ammunition Seized By Police In The Salt Spring Community

In their campaign to get illegal guns off the streets, the Police have made two more seizures which might just provide them with more Intel on other weapons, however, more information will be released by them on the matter soon.

The new seizures occurred this Wednesday morning, in Salt Spring St. James, at first, two firearms and numerous amounts of ammunition were taken during an operation by the armed forces of a joint Police/Military team.

During the operation it is said that a confrontation ensued, which saw one man by the name of Tevin Stewart otherwise called Pete said to be a top tier member of the G-City gang, allegedly facing off with the lawmen, resulting in him being fatally shot.

Two 9 mm Pistols compacted with ammunition were seized in that incident. The operations are said to have continued in the area with the authorities later finding an M16 rifle, containing 60 5.56 rounds of ammunition.
