Trecia Thomas who is the grandaunt/guardian of the child stated that she has been raising the boy since he was two weeks old. The grave digging was for Thomas’ mother.

She detailed, “I was at my mom’s grave digging. I have all the responsibilities there to see that everything is going right, so I was getting busy. At about 2:30 p.m., he came to me and said, ‘Mommy, I need something to drink.’ I told him to go and have it,” to the Jamaica Gleaner.

Thomas recalls last seeing the boy drinking juice as he played with another child. Hours later, he disappeared.

After searches on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, the missing child is yet to be found.

It’s believed that the child was taken away by someone older. As per a child agency official from the CPFSA, “It will be very difficult for a four-year-old to travel any significant distance by themselves to where a search party will be unable to find them.

“We believe that someone must know what has happened to him,” she outlined.
