According to news rocking the island this morning, five people were shot and killed in a shootout with law enforcers in August Town. A member of the law enforcement team was injured in the operation however his injury is not believed to be life-threatening.
The fatal shootout between thugs and cops began before dawn this morning and only two of the 5 bodies have been identified so far, they are “Boom” and “Speng”.
Several firearms and ammunitions were found after the smoke cleared.
The incident took place in the Bedward Gardens community of August Town, St Andrew.
According to residents, helicopter and armoured vehicles were used by cops in the operation.
The killings were confirmed by Commanding Officer for the St Andrew Central Police Division, Marlon Nesbeth.
