Jamaica is known more for its street dances like ‘Up Town Mondays’ and ‘Boasy Tuesdays’ etc but has also built a reputation as of late for its clubs and restaurants all over the country.

The following list will contain 5 popular places to visit when looking for somewhere to spend the night out in the corporate area, Jamaica, in no particular order.

Taboo

Located at 112 Constant Spring Road, Taboo is an adult-only club that boasts strippers, music, liquor, and sometimes live artiste performances. Accessible to anyone over the age of 18, Taboo is a world of its own, especially in the VIP section where the bottle service not only gets you great drinks, but also maybe a lapdance or two.

The club has two other locations including Montego Bay and Ocho Rios and is definitely the place to visit if you are looking for somewhere you can have a night to remember.

Ribbiz Ocean Lounge

Ribbiz Ocean Lounge is in Downtown, Kingston and this laidback restaurant comes with an amazing dining experience coupled with good music that will have you leaping from your chair between bites to dance to the latest songs.

With a menu that caters to all, Ribbiz is located in a prime location at the waterfront on Ocean Boulevard. This gem is always packed (so a reservation is recommended) but it does not disappoint if you are looking for a place to eat and groove to great music at the same time.

The Lucky 38 Club

Owned by prominent actor Garfield Reid, more popularly known by the moniker Badboy Trevor, The Lucky 38 Club is a gentleman’s club located at 38 Old Hope Road and is another location that is adult-only. One hundred percent for the men, Lucky 38 has a raunchy vibe where strippers and topless dancers parade the club as a source of entertainment.

The establishment usually has themed nights such as ‘Titi Tuesdays’ and ‘4 Play Wednesdaz’, and which day is which is usually advertised via social media. This club is geared towards those looking for a good time and those who are not afraid of the x-rated kind of fun.

MECA

MECA, fully named Marketplace Entertainment Centre for the Arts, is located in Constant Spring (Marketplace) and is a trendy spot that makes it the biggest venue for a night of fun and good vibes. Advertised as a space that can be transformed based on the needs of the event planner, MECA can be a club location, somewhere to host your birthday bash or corporate work party, and maybe even a church event, MECA is your spot.

Marketplace (The Courtyard)

Marketplace, 67 Constant Spring Road, hosts a number of Restaurants all in one place for a convenient night out. The restaurants provide a variety of different foods from multiple cultures and cuisines including China Express (Chinese), Beirut (Mediterranean), and Oceano (Japanese).

It also houses the restaurant owned by the fastest man in the world (Usain Bolt), Tracks and Records with some delicious ‘yaad style’ cooking. So if you have trouble deciding on a place to dine, The Marketplace could be the location for you.
