Thompson, who is a telephone engineer/ technician that resides in Mandeville, shot a total of five persons last weekend, two fatally, while the three others were hospitalised, including a 12-year-old boy.

The shooting reportedly took place during a candlelight vigil where a car hit Thompson’s parked car, metres away from his home. After Thompson went to deal with the matter, tensions got high, which led to the licensed firearm holder letting off several shots.

Ironically, the candlelight vigil was being held for victim of a motor vehicle accident that took place off Levy Lane where the shooting took place.
