6-Year-Old Arrested after She Assaulted Staff Members at her School

Kaia Rolle was arrested by officers who were called to her school, on Battery Charges because she had a temper tantrum and assaulted staff members at her school in Orlando, Florida.

After the arrest was made the officer was heard boasting about arresting more than 6000 people and Kaia was the youngest.

It was later reported that a 6-year-old boy was also arrested and charged that day and he too had the charges against him dropped.

Her Grandmother said “no 6-year-old child should be arrested and restrained with zip ties, before riding in the back of a police car, finger-printed and charged”.

The girl’s relatives hope that releasing the video about the incident will cause more persons to be aware and this might cause a change in the law that allows police officers to arrest children under the age of 12.

Dennis Turner the officer who was the arresting officer, was sacked as a reserve police officer as he failed to get approval for what he did, and he violated department policy.

The girls Relatives said she has a sleep disorder and the incident was very distressing for her. She was heard begging the officer to let her go. The charges against her were later dropped.
