69-Year-Old Charged For Sexually Assaulting His Grandchildren

A 69-year-old man from a St. Catherine address has been charged with sexually assaulting his two minor grandchildren who were left in his care sometime last year.

Sources reveal that one of the children informed a relative who lives in a different parish of the abuse they suffered under their grandfather’s care. This led to a joint investigation with the Centre for Investigation of Sexual Offences and Child Abuse (CISOCA) and police from the St Catherine North Division.

The unnamed man was arrested and charged with three counts of rape. He is scheduled to appear in the St. Catherine Parish Court on February 28.
