Bob Marley’s 12-year-old Grandson, Elijah Marley, gave an outstanding performance at the legendary reggae artiste’s 77th birthday celebration that made him the star of the show. Elijah Marley is the son of Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley and Cristal Chaitram and the brother of Christian.

The deceased legend was celebrated for 8 hours with a virtual Roots77 concert last Sunday, February 6, 2022, which was hosted by Tuff Gong and the Bob Marley Museum. The concert featured many artists, both local and international, such as Etana, Queen Ifrica, Gyptian, Tony Rebel, Kes The Band, Bugle, and Marion Hall who was previously known as Lady Saw.

The concert also shined the spotlight on young emerging talents like Elijah Marley, who delivered an impressive tribute to his grandfather.

His solo drum performance and the tribute of his grandfather’s classic “Three Little Birds” with a small band, undoubtedly made his family proud, check him out below.

Following these performances, he continued to demonstrate his singing, deejaying and percussionist abilities by doing a Reggae mashup of Blake Shelton’s “God’s Country”, John Lennon’s “Imagine”, Stephen Marley and Capleton’s “Rock Stone”, and lastly two of his father’s songs (Give Dem Some Way, Mr Marley).
