7 People shot 1 Fatally in Kingston

It has been reported that about 9 pm last night gunmen entered a bar at the corner of East Queen Street and Gold Street and open fire, During the shooting  5 persons were shot and injured.

In a separate incident, two persons were shot one fatally.

The shooting has caused an outbreak of violence in the community. Rosalie Hamilton the Councilor for the Rae Town Division said “It’s a gang war, it consists of some jealousy, some who get what and who not getting and a little Politic.”

She went on to say that this war has been going on since the last election when some drive-by shooting took place.

 During the questioning he said the Police are not doing a great job to help stopping these violence’s, Because the police are reactive and not proactive and they only show up every time when the shooting finish, just in time to put up the yellow tape or take people to the hospital.
