[Sharingbuttons]Trench town hero Tremayne Brown is feeling used by corporate Jamaica more specifically Lasco over what he claims are broken promises made to him following his heroics in saving a little boy from drowning several months ago.
Brown reportedly said that he felt companies only used him to gain from the national spotlight on him.
However, Lasco has defended an employment offer it made to Tremayne Brown after he reportedly criticised the terms of the deal.
Brown reportedly claimed in a media interview that he was offered a menial role at Lasco while being prevented from seeking employment elsewhere – allegations which have been denied by the company.
After receiving backlash on social media, Lasco responded in a news release late Thursday.
The company said the Trench Town hero was offered an opportunity to fill one of two roles at Lasco Distributors — as a promoter or as an inventory clerk.
Brown received a Badge of Honour for Gallantry last month.
