K’Coneil To Take The Stage at the 2018 South By South West Festival
3 months into the new year and recording artist K’Coneil has already amassed impressive accolades such as nominations for the 2018 JUNO awards for Best Reggae Recording, and Best New Entertainer by the International Reggae & World Music Awards (IRAWMA).
On Friday, March 16th, K’Coneil will take stage alongside Nigerian Afrobeat star Adekunle Gold and rapper Talib Kweli among others at Digiwaxx’s “The Blast Lounge” part of the South by Southwest Conferences & Festivals in Austin, Texas. This will be a first at SXSW for the Genre Fluid artist who is eager to deliver music from his billboard charting debut “Love & Lust” EP.
“I’m excited to be performing at SXSW. I am often asked what is this Genre Fluid I speak about, although I can explain that it’s the ability to float in and out of different genres, on that stage I will be able to demonstrate” stated an enthusiastic K’Coneil
For this year staging off SXSW, K’Coneil is looking to leave his mark, and make new fans, while soaking in the vibes of the festival which year after year, has been a launching pad for new creative content by gathering all genres and facets. New media presentations, music showcases and film screenings provide buzz-generating exposure for creators and compelling entertainment for audience.
No rest for the recording artist as he will thereafter head to Chicago where the nominated K’Coneil is slated to perform at the IRAWMA. This is the biggest music night in Chicago; The red carpet is being rolled out for the 37th annual Chicago Music Awards, which this year is combined with the 36th International Reggae and World Music Awards (IRAWMA), Sunday, March 18, 2018 at the Logan Center for the Arts – University of Chicago, Hyde Park, Chicago.
