Murder Rate Down in Jamaica

[Sharingbuttons]It is being reported that there has been a reduction in the number of murders being committed in Jamaica since the end of March to April this year.

Dr. Chang the Minister of National Security made the report while he spoke at a meeting of a Rotary Club in Kingston that the Jamaica Constabulary Force has given data to prove that there has been an approximately 10 % reduction in homicides at this time when compared to the same period last year. 

The Public State of Emergency and the Zones of Special Operations across the island have been credited with this reduction and the Minister of National Security has said that the gains made thus far will be secured with the implementation of long-term measures.
