Bounty Killer is among those supporting Michael Jackson following the broadcast of ‘Leaving Neverland’, a two-part documentary, which details accounts from two men who claim the ‘King of Pop’ sexually molested them during their childhood.
In passionate Instagram posts, the deejay declared that Mr Jackson is not a child molester and discredited his accusers.
“Call him a weirdo, call him crazy and call him whatever you want but di man is no child molester. Dem couldn’t prove it while he was alive, why now in death?”. Make him Rest In Peace once and for all man, we not defending Michael Jackson because he is dead, we are defending his year of great musical legacy that he gifted to the world for years from now will always be forever great music and dance moves.” He posted on his IG page.
Since the airing of Leaving Neverland, three Canadian radio stations (CKOI, Rythme and the Beat) have opted to bar Jackson’s music from their airwaves.
The late the Michael Jackson died on June 25, 2009.
He was first accused of molestation in 1993, which was settled out of court at a sum of US$23 million.
In separate case, he stood trial in 2005 on multiple counts of child molestation charges; he was acquitted of all charges against him.
Jackson’s accusers, Wade Robson and James Safechuck, defended him in court. But they revealed in the documentary that they were ‘trained’ by the Thriller superstar from a tender age to keep the activities a secret.
Bounty killer said the accusations are a plot to tarnish Jackson’s legacy and is also is advocating for the #MuteOprah movement in light of her interviews with the men.
“Salute to the greatest artiste of all generations; 750,000,000 albums sold, donated over 300,000,000 to charities world-wide and Thriller is the biggest selling album of all times over 100,000,000 copies sold. They dragged him form Neverland to Netherlands on 14 counts of child abuse and he walked away free. If he was guilty on one count you think him would’ve walk free? Unno cya smear black history, this is not R.Kelly, this is the King of Pop music, Michael Jackson.”
Kelly is currently facing sexual abuse charges for allegedly having sex with underage girls.
Other entertainers such as Gramps Morgan of Morgan Heritage and also Vybz Kartel have made it known their support for Jackson.
Meanwhile, international rapper Drake has excluded the track Don’t Matter to Me, a single featuring Jackson’s vocals, from his tour in the United Kingdom.
