He made a narrow escape after his vehicle was hit close to a toll booth on Highway 2000 and he is currently counting his blessings.

He wasn’t even driving at the time, as there was a line of traffic approaching the second toll booth, the vehicles were heading towards Kingston and his vehicle was at a complete stop when suddenly a car slammed into his vehicle pushing him onto the banking. His head was injured when it hit the steering wheel.

In an interview he said, he was almost run over by another vehicle after he exited his car to speak to the driver who owned the car that had just crashed into his.

Escobar told the JAMAICA STAR “The whole thing happened in 10 seconds. To think is not even a week since me get the car. If me never ah pay attention to my surroundings, I don’t know where I would be … trust me is just higher powers, because all I see is ah next pair a headlight and I jump out of its way”.

The injured Selector also said that, he could not understand why persons would be speeding to reach the toll booth.

“Persons need to be more aware and pay attention to the signs on the highway which clearly show the speed limit,” he said.

Bishop Escobar is now nursing many minor wounds; he got 17 stitches. There were lacerations to his left foot which will cause him to walk with crutches for some weeks.

With the selector in recovery, he will not be at some events that he was booked for, including Magnum Xplosion Club Tour in St Vincent this weekend, and a packed roster of parties in Jamaica such as Thank Guinness It’s Thursday – Dancehall Cyaan Stall Edition’, Pull Up, and Blanco Brunch, as well.

He spoke about shedding a few tears while giving thanks for the outpouring of wishes for a speedy recovery that has him feeling even more positive, because of the messages and social media posts from members of the music and entertainment industry.

However, he admitted that he still wasn’t sure how he is feeling, as there is an emotional side that he can’t control. The accident keeps replaying in his mind, but he hopes he will be going to Canada next month for an event there.

Bishop wrote the following online ” before shit went wrong, but God says…it’s alright my son”, Severa dancehall stars have wished the selector a speedy recovery including Shenseea who wrote, “Shenseea 💪god is good”.
