DMX Pronounced Dead
New York rapper Earl Simmons aka DMX who has been in the hospital for several days now, passed away earlier today April 9th after suffering from a Drug Overdose recently. The rapper was tested positive with COVID-19 days after admitting to the White Plains Hospital hospital, NY.
The sad news was made public by his family in a statement that stated “We are deeply saddened to announce today that our loved one, DMX, birth name of Earl Simmons, passed away at 50-years-old at White Plains Hospital with his family by his side after being placed on life support for the past few days,” the statement continued “Earl was a warrior who fought till the very end, He loved his family with all of his heart and we cherish the times we spent with him.”
DMX who is also known for his many acting roles suffered from a heart attack during the OD and there was inflammation in his head according to reports. DMX was known to be deeply religious, hence a prayer vigil was kept on Monday for him in New York outside the hospital he was being treated at.
On Wednesday, brain function tests were done on DMX, his manager commented then that based on the results his family will decide what to do from there on, based on this new report about the rapper passing away, it would appear that the results did not return looking good and as a result they might have pulled the plug.
