66yo Details Getting Robbed, Dodging Bullets and Fighting Fire to Survive Attack in Spanish Town

The man who was robbed and thrown into a pit after he dropped off a female in St. Catherine is now telling the tale. According to George Smart who operates a taxi in Portmore, he is now ready to get married to his girlfriend who warned him about his new female client who he dropped off right before being attacked.

Smart was found in a 55 feet pit after being left there to die by the robbers in the Jones Avenue area of Spanish Town, he was rescued by firefighters.

George explains that he was leaving the area after he dropped off the female but a speed bump caused him to slow down at one section of the road, to his surprise a man appeared with a gun pointing at him and demanded that he get out of the car. He was subsequently robbed by the same men who tried to kill him.

One person commented “This man was in God’s hands no doubt about that and now he’s doing the right thing, to God be the glory” while another said “What a set of savages, thank God he made it out alive”.
