Teen Killed – Cousin Badly Injured after Accident in St Thomas Caused by Drunk Driver
Aaliyah Jamison, 17 was killed and her cousin who was transferred to the Kingston Public Hospital has 2 broken legs and many broken ribs. The fatal accident took place about 9:10 p.m. on Friday after celebrating another cousin’s 4th birthday, the 2 cousins were walking on the road when a grey Subaru Impresso hit both of them after it swung from another vehicle.
A patrolling police vehicle assisted them so they could get to the nearby hospital where Aaliyah succumbed to her injuries before her cousin was transferred to the KPH. The accident took place along Red Hills main road.
The police tested Josephs the driver, for alcohol consumption and found out that alcohol was in his system.
As the family tries to come to terms with their loss, they remember Aaliyah as a girl who loved to dress-up. They are glad that her cousin is still alive and hope she will return home one day.
