Body Found on Police Station Compound in Kingston

According a Loop News report, over the weekend, a 37 year old man who was previously arrested was found hanging on the Elletson Road Police Station compound in Kingston. The body was found on Sunday and it is uncertain how long it had been there for.

The dead man has been identified as Devon Smith. While it was confirmed that the body was in fact found on the police station’s property, it is unclear where on the property the body was located.

Devon is related to a female who was shot and killed in Spanish Town, St Catherine in April while returning from a funeral in a bus that was shot up by gunmen.

A source revealed that Smith was released from lockup just 2 days before his body was found.

It’s unclear how he turned up at the police station and what lead to his hanging.
