Taxi Man Still Missing After Kidnapping in St. Catherine
There is still an air of mystery surrounding the 36-year-old Taxi driver who was kidnapped on Tuesday in the parish of St. Catherine after he was abducted on the morning of the day upon leaving his mother’s house in Linstead, St. Catherine.
According to the driver’s girlfriend, she received a call from his phone a few hours after the situation had occurred, with someone requesting a $400,000 ransom for the return of the service cab operator. The abduction was then reported to the St. Catherine Northern Division Police who went on an investigation with the Counterterrorism and organized crime investigation branch of the JCF.
A “Red zone” was picked up by the investigators of the matter based on the call that was made to the Cab driver’s girlfriend’s phone but they were not able to locate him. Otherwise, there have not been any updates from the JCF about the matter since they have stated that they do not talk about information relating to Kidnappings.
In trying to assist in the very sad situation, the Jamaica Observer also tried contacting the man’s number; however, the device, unfortunately, went to voicemail.
