Chief Justice Bryan Sykes, presided over the case of the 60-year-old, when the matter was heard on July 15.

Jarrett’s attorney, Shelly-Ann Hyman pleaded for leniency from the court during the sentencing. She pointed out that her client was abused and abandoned during his childhood and he had pleaded guilty at the earliest possible time, during the trial.

However, Sykes pointed out his criminal history which includes sexual offences, house breakings which dates back to 1978.

The sentence will take effect following the 28-year sentence, he will serve for the murder of Daniel Wishart in 2012. Jarrett had stabbed Wishart to death because a painting job was not paid for. He was sentenced for that murder on July 5th.

Julanna was found with her throat slashed after he had reported her missing. Even though he was married to the victim’s sister, he was having an affair with her and he surrendered to the police on February 18, 2020, when he was charged with murder, following investigations.
