55 Year Old Woman Killed At Her Home On the St. Ann Clarendon Border
Tragedy struck on Thursday in the community of Fort George, located on the border of St. Ann and Clarendon when the body of a 55-year-old woman was found in a mutilated condition at her house.
The identity of the woman is revealed to be Oakley Atkinson-Pryce otherwise known as ‘Mama’, who residents of the community honoured, as a stalwart.
According to residents, the woman was staying alone at her house due to her son who she usually lives with, being away on the farmworker program.
The reports are that on Thursday, someone went to the house but did not hear her, after which they left however, the son was trying to reach her as well by way of phone calls but was not getting through and decided to contact someone else.
The person was sent to check on ‘Mama’, however, the front grille of the isolated house was locked, whereafter they made some checks, later discovering the body lying naked face down in a pool of blood.
The Police were called to the scene for investigation but otherwise from confirming the murder, they did not reveal any further details. So far members of the community are suggesting that the Killer might have pry through the backdoor to get to the woman.
Residents of Fort George, according to the Jamaica Observer, expressed that Atkinson-Pryce was a “nice person”, and her death has affected them negatively.
One of the woman’s nieces said that her aunt, who is also a mother of 4, was a giving person, who showed kindness and love, whilst always bearing a smile.
