Chug-It Hits Back Heavy At Spice With Lawsuit And Public Apology Demand
The legal representatives for the well-renowned event ‘Chug it’, has sent a letter of “demand” to the Dancehall Queen Spice, because she turned up late for her performance that was set for September 5th in Miami Florida.
As a stern request, Wright through his lawyer Peter Champagnie has sent out a demand for his team to be refunded of all the money paid to the entertainer, accompanied by a “written public apology”, from Spice for what the promoter saw as defamatory statements against ‘Chug it’.
In the letter, it is said by the Jamaica Observer who first brought the news that Spice, whose real name is Grace Hamilton, was paid in full for her set that was not done as well as all other relating expenses 6 hours before the time she was booked for which was even earlier than the contract has stated since the terms were that the “Cool It” artiste, would have been paid in full an hour after leaving the hotel.
The female deejay was not reported to have reached the venue until 9:25 pm and as such ‘Chug it’, is claiming that the entertainer and her booking agency Khool International acted in breach of their contract.
As it relates to the need for a Public apology, Wright’s legal team described the claims made by Hamilton on her social media platform to be offensive and baseless and that the entertainer went on her Instagram page that has over 3.7 million followers, making false claims of ‘Chug it’, implying they are a scam and that they unlawfully stole money from her fans which the popular event organizers claim to be defamatory.
The no show and social media actions by Spice, according to ‘Chug it’, caused a situation, in which Wright and his legal team, is claiming to have caused patrons to return for a refund of their ticket costs due to the entertainer not showing up.
