US High School Mass Shooter Apologizes To Victims’ Families BUT THEY WANT HIM DEAD – Video
Nikolas Cruz, the former student of Marjory Douglas High in Parkland Florida has issued an apology in court to the families of the victims who were hurt in the mass shooting done by him at the institution over three years ago, however, many of the family members for the persons shot and killed in the incident has expressed that they want the death sentence for the young man.
One father had two children who were among Cruz’s 17 victims killed in the shooting, and it seems like he is still experiencing the pain of the incident as he expressed that Nikolas should not be considered for a next chance.
Another father was deeply impacted by what took place with the apology, and one could understand why he would play off the apology made by Cruz as laughable when he lost his 14-year-old son to the young man’s shooting escapades.
Another person who was strongly against giving Nikolas a second chance was Tony Montalto, who lost his 14-year-old daughter at the hands of the young man who had shot her 4 times. This made Montalto express that just like how Cruz did not think to give his daughter a second opportunity to live, he should not be given that privilege either.
On Wednesday Cruz had his plea changed to guilty, and made an apology letting the families know he is sorry for what he has done while highlighting drugs as something bad and letting the victim’s relatives know that he loves them and the situation haunts him every night.
The young man is facing 17 counts of attempted murder and 17 counts of premeditated murder, which could either lead him to get a life sentence or the feared Death Penalty which he is currently vying to not get.
The Judge, however, let Cruz know that they were not the ones who will be responsible for what he is handed, however, all of that will be revealed as the trial draws near to its end.
