Bob Marley’s Official Movie On The Way
Director Reinaldo Marcus is well on the way with the development of Marley’s Biopic, and Steven Weintraub from Collider linked up with him to get an insight into the progress so far. The announcement of the Biopic was made earlier this year and Marcus is already well known for his part in directing the movie “King Richard” released on November 19, based on the true-life of Richard Williams the father of Serena and Venus Williams.
“King Richard” surely shows the professional prowess of Marcus as the film has been hailed so far as one of the best for the year, and with that said there is no doubt that the directing genius will replicate the same results with the reggae legend’s movie.
In partnership with Reinaldo Marcus is Zach Baylin who was the screenwriter for the “King Richard” film and Ziggy Marley, Bob Marley’s eldest son as the producer and the project’s overseer.
According to Marcus as he told Weintraub, the movie is currently without a cast and he is open to any person who best fits the parts that are open to being filled.
He also explained that the movie setting takes place from 1976, and onwards to show the creation of the exodus album which he did with the wailers as their 9th body of work out of the studio.
Marcus said in his talks with Collider that the Biopic will feature classical hits such as “Waiting in vain”, ” Jammin” and “War”.
By the looks of things, the movie seems to be well on the way and based on the previous work of Reinaldo Marcus and the love Bob Marley gets, this film should be one for the books.
