Here’s The Difference Between Dinesty Kxng Muzik And Dynasty Entertainment
The Reggae and Dancehall communities have oftentimes experienced cases where industry players have names that are too close for comfort.
The case of having names that are similar is usually among entertainers, however, it’s now being done by producers. Notably, there is confusion among many dancehall fans as to what’s the difference between Dinesty Kxng Muzik and Dynasty Entertainment and why are the names so similar.
Dinesty Kxng Muzik came into existence in 2014, shortly after Dinesty King got his breakthrough by creating the beat for Jah Vinci’s hit single, ‘Where Do Angels Go’ at just age 14.
While Dynasty Entertainment made its debut in 2020 with projects like “King Inna War’ by Rytikal and ‘Glu’ by Rygin King.
The similarity with both label names makes it difficult for fans to identify which producer is associated with a particular track in a lot of cases. Dinesty Kxng Muzik has produced tracks such as Tommy Lee’s ‘Under Vibes’, Tommy Lee’s ‘Spartan Empire’, Charly Black’s ‘Tonight’ which debuted on the iTunes Reggae Chart last year, among others.
Dynasty Entertainment’s most noted releases include; Rytikal’s ‘Chosen’ and Chronic Law’s ‘Still A Bleed’, among others.
When asked how he feels about the ‘same name’ situation, Dinesty King shared; “Many music lovers are oftentimes confused by the two labels and in my opinion, the change of a letter doesn’t do much to the pronunciation of the word and as such, the disarray will occur. Without a doubt, I respect all industry players and their contribution to the genre, however, I believe it would be better if everyone’s brand possessed that unique quality that sets them apart from others and that begins with your name. Brand Dinesty has been around for over a decade, Falmouth Dinesty being my parent company with Dinesty Kxng Muzik to follow and I believe I have set a solid enough foundation to stand firm in my beliefs.”
While Dinesty Kxng continues to fervently promote his brand, the unparalleled talent is also putting the final touches on his GLE 53 Riddim which will feature a host of hitmakers including; Charly Black, Teejay , Navino, Prohgres and Jah Torius. The project is set to be released this summer.
Dinesty is not to be confused with Dynasty.
