Raheem Sterling and Clarks Unveil New Heritage Inspired Collection – View Collection
Recently minted Chelsea forward Raheem Sterling and international shoe manufacturer Clarks have released a history-making collaboration with their new heritage-inspired footwear collection.
On Wednesday, the Jamaican-born footballer and Clarks officially released the collection, releasing a promotional video and photos on Instagram. Featured in the promotional content are Top Boy’s Kadeem Ramsay and DJ Becca Dudley. Sterling, who is also an ambassador for the brand, is the first Jamaican with his own Clarks collection and co-designed the footwear with the company.
While speaking about his love for the brand and excitement for the collection, Sterling stated, “To be the first Jamaican with my own Clarks collection is an honour. When I heard I could build this line, I was buzzing. It’s a brand I’ve loved from a young age, so to have this opportunity is really special.”
The Wallabee boot collection, designed to pay homage to Jamaica, features nine styles inspired by the landscape surrounding Jamaica’s capital city and Sterling’s birthplace, Kingston. Each pair of Wallabee bears the Jamaican motto “Out of Many – One People” with ‘1692’ embossed on the heel. Kingston was founded in 1692 after the devastating Port Royal earthquake that left the city in ruins.
The Wallabee boots come in a variety of neutral shades and cool whites. Darker tones of grey, black, and navy blue are also available, all of which pay tribute to Jamaica’s stunning natural surroundings.
