Spice Tells All “Thank You Jesus For Saving My Life”
Speculations have run rampant over the last several days regarding Spice’s health, from her being in a coma because of a heart attack that was the result of plastic surgery in the Dominican Republic, to her death and or being in critical health. However, with the Queen stepping up to address all the rumours that have been circulating on social media, all hearsay has been laid to rest.
Just over an hour ago, Spice took leave from her social media sabbatical to let everyone know that although she was in poor health, the rumours were not true. To set the record straight, the Same Mouth artisteย issued a statement on her Instagram account updating all who have been worried, or simply curious and waiting for answers, that “I’m in a better space today to properly update you on my current health situation.” She also posted a picture to show that she was doing okay.
The crowned Queen went on to explain that the reason for her absence other than the break she was on, was due to the fact that she had medical issues. She declared, “I suffered a damage to my hernia…that sent my body into sepsis, as a result I was rushed to the hospital for immediate surgery.” She went on to say that because she was off socialsย for a while, she was unaware that her “medical scare” was being interpreted as a heart attack, among the other rumours that have reached her ears.ย
Addressing the rumours directly she said, “none of that is true.” However, Spice mentioned that she was still in recovery “from what actually happened” and thanked everyone for all the prayers and concern sent her way. The Clap Clap singer wished for everyone to live and love like it was their last day and sent love to everyone.
Spice also divulged that she won’t be jumping from any speaker boxes anytime soon during any performance and sent her apologies to the promoters who had confirmed her as booked for an event.
Her fans, relieved to hear from the Queen herself that she was doing well, sent lots of love and well wishes after her post. One specifically stated, “I think unanimously, we all took a big sigh of relief. Thanks for updating your fans!! Sending love and light always!๐๐๐,” while another spoke up by saying, “I hope the fake so call fans don’t come over here…talking bout oh she lost me as a fan when they didn’t even have the right information to begin with…๐๐ฟ๐๐ฟ๐๐ฟ.”
A host of artistes from the dancehall community and abroad also sent their well wishes to Spice hoping for her speedy recovery. Dexta Daps sent, “SPICE UPPPPP GODAGOD ๐๐ฟ๐๐ฟ๐๐ฟ…๐ HURRY UP N GUD AGAIN D FANS DEM CYAH DO WITHOUT YOU…โค๏ธ.” Elaine Thompson-Herah also said, “Speedy recovery queen๐๐,” while Popcaan stated, “stay up Gracie ๐โค๏ธ๐๐ฟ.”
