JFF Announces Deal With Adidas
A post from the JFF’s Instagram page indicates the start of their partnership, which was formed earlier in August 2022 with sports gear giants Adidas, taking full effect today.
“The Jamaica Football Federation and Adidas proudly announce the beginning of their partnership. This special partnership will not only celebrate Jamaican football but also Jamaican style and culture,” the statement by the JFF detailed.
Jamaica Football Federation has been looking for sponsors and assistance from the local private sector for quite some time. They will benefit greatly from this partnership as they prepare to kick start their 2026 World Cup campaign.
“The partnership will support the JFF’s effort to develop Jamaica’s football at all levels and will facilitate further success at the professional level in the years to come. The JFF is now a part of the Adidas portfolio of international federations, joining giants such as The DFB (Germany), RFEF (Spain), AFA (Argentina), FIGC (Italy), and the RBFA (Belgium).” Stated Ricketts in August.
Adidas Global Football General Manager Nick Craggs said, “We are delighted to be announcing this long partnership with the Jamaica Football Federation.”
Fitzroy Simpson, a former Reggae Boy, and Jonathan Himpe, a lawyer, worked in collaboration with Sports 2 Business Sports Group to arrange this deal.
