Burna Boy Says “Jamaica Has My Heart” and Shares Photos of His Time on The Island – See Photos

Afrobeat hitmaker Burna Boy, whose real name is Damini Ogulu, had already expressed his love for the tradition of Jamaica and its people when he recently performed on the island for the first time as part of his debut tour. The African Giant took to Instagram recently, where he shared several photos of his time in Jamaica and captioned the post, “Jamaica has my ❤️.”

It was evident from the photos posted by the Nigerian superstar that he was overwhelmed with joy while spending time in Jamaica. In one of the slides, you can see the artiste laughing and sharing a moment with Jamaica’s Prime Minister Andrew Holness, and Minister of Entertainment and Sports Olivia Babsy Grange. 

Another slide shows the hitmaker with dancehall superstar and work colleague Popcaan in a picture where the two of them are seen hugging.

The Burna Boy Live Concert that was held at the National Stadium in Kingston late last year December, featuring the Unruly Boss Popcaan and reggae singer Lila Ike, lived up to its hype according to the majority of patrons who attended the vibrant event.

The show was a success despite a few technical difficulties and instances of poor crowd management. Afterward, promoter Twisted Entertainment, Duke Concept, and Solid Agency apologized for the technical problems with the sound system.

According to those who attended, regular citizens and celebrities alike, it was an unforgettable night, with a legendary performance from the African Giant Burna Boy that lasted for almost two hours. The Ye singer had a stellar set that left patrons wanting more and drew scores of Jamaicans to the venue to see his exceptional performance.

Only time will tell when the singer will decide to return to Jamaica, but he promises not to make it his last.
