Following their 2022 social media feud stemming from the funeral of dancehall artiste Merciless, Bounty Killer and Ricky Trooper are at odds once again, with Bounty taking fresh shots at the sound selector.

Merciless passed away in 2022 on July 19 and was laid to rest on September 17. The deejay’s funeral was attended by a number of his fellow dancehall entertainers, but the absence of dancehall veterans such as Bounty Killer provoked the ire of many, including Trooper. Bounty went on to describe Merciless’ funeral as a spectacle that he chose not to attend, and in response, Trooper described his behaviour as bitter.

Trooper accused the Spin Barrel deejay of holding a decades-long grudge against Merciless, who defeated him in a clash at Sting. As the feud intensified, Trooper went so far as to question Bounty’s sexual habits and the sexuality of his son. Bounty hit back by posting multiple voice notes of the selector agreeing to perform at an LGBTQ event.

The feud between both men eventually de-escalated, and Bounty moved on to his past rival, Mr. Vegas. What set the self-named Warlord off once again is unclear, but the deejay took aim at Trooper in an Instagram post on Saturday.

“Boop up mouth @rickytrooper876 tek dat inna yu p**sy face a nuh hit dat batty breathe,” Bounty wrote, captioning a video of several partygoers at Dance-All Fridayz dancing to his single Firm n’ Strong.

Bounty was seemingly taking shots at Trooper’s purported past statements that the artiste could not produce another hit song and that his time had expired in the industry. Fans of the deejay questioned what Trooper was going to do now that Bounty had a new hit, with one person writing,

“Wonder if him still ago bun up him sound? More hits to come Ricky Trooper.”
