Flippa Shares Video of Himself Working at a Regular Job After Prison Release – Watch Video
Dancehall artiste Andrew Davis, popularly known during his career as Flippa Mafia, the Flossing King shares a video of himself at a regular job. Flippa was recently released after serving nine years in prison in the United States.
The footage that was uploaded to social media has the following caption on it, “The Works an accomplishment i have to achieve to get outside,” seemingly pointing to the fact that he is doing the regular work as a part of his deal with the government to stay free out of lockup.
The deejay was sentenced in 2016 to serve 25 years in prison for his involvement in an international drug trafficking and money laundering ring that spanned from Jamaica to New Jersey and California in the United States. Required to serve 17 years, Flippa Mafia was released from prison early on parole on October 4, 2022.
Prior to his incarceration, Flippa Mafia was known for his flamboyant onstage persona and became famous for throwing cash into the crowd at events. Such as his appearance at Sting in 2012, during which he emptied the contents of a Gucci bag, throwing an alleged sum of $95,000 at patrons.
Flippa Mafia reportedly completed his high school diploma and earned a college degree while in prison, and he is currently working at Shoprite. The My House artiste shared a video of him and his daughter at his new job on his Instagram page.
“Si mi daughter come check mi pan di work site the things dem weh mi affi duh fi get outside star,” says Flippa before proceeding to sing one of his positive songs.
Flippa Mafia showed off his deejaying skills and expressed that he would not let pride get in his way.
