Launched in 2018, the first staging of Unruly Fest was an immense success for both Popcaan and his native parish of St. Thomas, with crowds flocking to see acts such as Drake take to the stage. However, the event was forced to take a three-year hiatus due to the coronavirus pandemic.

With the concert scheduled to return on December 22, Popcaan revealed four of the new artistes slated to perform with him on the Unruly stage on Monday, sharing a new poster for the event on his Instagram page. Two of dancehall’s youngest artistes, Skillibeng and Najeeriii, will be featured at the highly anticipated event.

Najeeriii has been making waves locally with singles Like Bob, Panton, and Paddle Boat. Skillibeng, who walked away with Best Caribbean Music Act at the MOBO Awards last year, has collaborated with Popcaan on the singles Have It and Pree.

Adding some musical diversity to the mostly dancehall lineup will be reggae veteran I-Wayne, known for hits such as Can’t Satisfy Her and Living In Love. Fivio Foreign, who recently collaborated with Popcaan on the single Tequila Shots, is currently the only international act named for the event. However, as Unruly Fest’s full roster has not yet been revealed, fans may be treated to other international collaborators of Popcaan.
