Cardi B and Offset Spark Breakup Rumours After Unfollowing Each Other on Instagram
American rappers Cardi B and Offset have once again sparked breakup rumours after the couple seemingly unfollowed each other on Instagram.
The hip-hop power couple has had a turbulent relationship, with their highs and lows openly shared with the public. Following their marriage, rumours of infidelity stemming from both artistes have plagued their relationship.
The pair temporarily split in 2018, with Offset taking to the stage with several bouquets of roses during Cardi B’s performance at Rolling Loud to apologise and beg her to take him back amid rumours that he had cheated. While the artistes later rekindled their relationship, it has not been free of drama, and Cardi B’s recent social media posts may be an indication that all is not well.
In an age where one’s relationship status is often tied to their social media conduct, a couple’s decision to no longer be linked online is often seen as the first hint that the relationship is in trouble. Cardi B and Offset seemingly unfollowed each other between Monday and Tuesday.
The rappers also shared messages via their Instagram Stories, with Offset seemingly suggesting that he can only trust himself.
The former Migos member shared a clip from Scarface, with Tony Montana yelling, “Hey, fuck you, man. Who put this thing together? Me. Who do I trust? Me,” during an argument with an old friend.
In her Stories, Cardi B appeared to suggest that she had outgrown a relationship and needed to put herself first.
“I’m tired of protecting peoples feelings…I GOTTA PUT MYSELF FIRST,” Cardi wrote in one of her posts.
Rumours of a breakup follow accusations made by Offset earlier this year that Cardi B cheated on him, but the Bodak Yellow rapper flatly denied those accusations.
