Bailey joined Aston Villa in 2021 from Bayer Leverkusen after beginning his international football career with KRC Genk in Belgium. While there was speculation in 2023 that Bailey’s time at Aston Villa may have been coming to an end, the 26-year-old has since proven himself to be an asset to the club.

On Monday, Villa officially announced that they had signed a new contract with the winger. According to reports, the contract will be valid until 2027, with an option until 2028.

Bailey’s previous contract with the English club was a four-year deal, reportedly worth £25 million.

Prior to the official announcement of the new deal, Bailey’s manager, Craig Butler, shared that he had negotiated a “lovely contract” for the footballer.

However, Butler did not share the details regarding the deal.

Reacting to the announcement, Bailey shared photographs from his contract signing of him and coach Unai Emery and Damian Vidagany, Villa’s new director of football operations.

Captioning the Instagram post, Bailey wrote, “The Journey Continues! 📝🙏🏽.” Throughout his time with Villa, Bailey has made a total of 87 appearances and scored 16 goals.

Thirty-three of those appearances were made this season, during which he secured ten goals.
