Skeletal Remains Suspected to be of Meddik Discovered by Police
Dancehall artiste Stephany Williams whose stage name is Medikk has been missing for months with little to no information about her whereabouts.
However, on Thursday Deputy Commissioner of Police Fitz Bailey, head of the Crime and Security Portfolio updated Jamaicans about the latest discovery in the ongoing investigation.
The audio in the social media update details that the skeleton remains of a body believed to be of the female was found in a cane field on February 14 in St. Catherine.
As per the police report, “the body will be processed and compared to DNA sample to determine the true identity.”
Meddik (29), was last seen wearing a black blouse, black tights, and a pair of black shoes. She is of brown complexion, slim build, and stands around 5 feet 7 inches tall.
Meddik went missing in August of 2023.
A substantial reward was earlier put forward for anyone who can provide information that will lead to the safe return of Meddik.
Authorities are urging anyone with information that may aid in the investigation to call 311.
